Photographer Andre Brown: Atlanta-based Wedding Photographer
I am an Atlanta-based photographer, speaker, educator. As the lead photographer of André Brown Photography, a boutique photography studio, I specialize in wedding and portrait photography and wedding videography. With the assistance of my highly-skilled team, our work has been featured in several notable publications and has won prestigious awards.
Although I am primarily known as a wedding photographer, my studio offers a range of photography services including personal branding, corporate headshots, family portraits, maternity portraits, senior portraits and event photography and videography.
I believe the photographer plays a major role in capturing a narrative of love and happiness for couples on their special day. My photography style is inspired by high-fashion publications such as Elle, Vogue, and Vanity Fair. Clients described my work as timeless, stylish and romantic. With strong attention to detail, I use posing techniques that bring out the intimate connection between couples. I mix natural light and flash lighting techniques to create works of art that my clients will enjoy for generations to come.
As the son of a Marine, my family relocated to different states throughout my childhood. I was born in Beaufort, SC but spent my childhood years in Boston, MA. Later, we moved to North Carolina and returned to Beaufort, SC for my high school years. Each move reinforced the value of having my mom, dad, brother, and sister as my support system. No matter where we moved, we always had each other. It was encouragement from my dad and sister that motivated me to start André Brown Photography in 2015 after moving from Los Angeles.
Prior to my career as a professional photographer, I worked in the music industry. I obtained my Bachelor of Science in Recording Arts from Full Sail University in Orlando, FL. After graduating, I moved to Los Angeles at the age of 19 where I was the manager of Grammy-nominated songwriter and producer Ric Rude. My work with Ric Rude included, most notably, “Cater 2 U” by Destiny’s Child and hits for other artists including Busta Rhymes, Mary J. Blige, Bow Wow, Omarion, Redman and Method Man, and many more. After years in the music industry, I made the decision to transition into photography.
In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family, working out, reading and binge-watching episodes of Law and Order, Suits and Game of Thrones.
My work has been featured in several notable publications including Essence Magazine, Huffington Post, The Knot, Munaluchi Bride, Black Bride, and The B Collective Magazine, and Huffington Post. My work has also appeared on ABC News, and Good Morning America.
